Job Description
We’re Hiring: Veterinary Scientist | Northern Kenya San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance – Kenya (SDZWA K) is looking for a Veterinary Scientist to support the Laboratory in Northern Kenya (LiNK), a collaborative wildlife diagnostic and research laboratory based at Lewa Wildlife Conservancy.
This role will provide scientific leadership in wildlife diagnostics, disease surveillance, research, laboratory quality systems, and technical mentorship while working with Kenya’s leading wildlife conservation partners.
We’re looking for someone with:
- Bachelor’s degree in Veterinary Medicine (registered with the Kenya Veterinary Board)
- Master’s degree in Veterinary Medicine, Clinical/ Anatomic Pathology, Molecular Biology, Epidemiology, or a related field
- At least 3 years’ experience translating research into animal health outcomes
- Experience leading collaborative projects and engaging diverse stakeholders
