Key Work Output and Accountabilities

General maintenance tasks

• Perform maintenance tasks as stipulated in "Equipment Type Skills Assessment TGL v1.1"
• Supervised maintenance of air-conditioning systems, with its associated filter cleaning, and assistance with cleaning of ducts and equipment, form part of the day-to-day routine of this position
• Supervised maintenance, treating and painting of carports, parking areas, peripheral fencing, and roofing structures in general
• Conduct routine maintenance checks
• Supervised general building, plant and machinery maintenance
• Supervised general cleaning and maintenance of Hospital property

General assistance

• Assistance with building and painting
• Assist with minor structural changes in and around the facility
• Moving of doctor's rooms and associated equipment and furniture
• Assist in putting up and preparing of walls, dry walls and other partitioning

• Interaction between Technical Department and the rest of the facility.

• Participate in collaborative relationships to help accomplish work goal.

Skills Profile

Education

Essential

• NQF Level 2 (Civil, Electrical or Mechanical)

Work Experience

Essential

• Basic skills with general tools
• Basic hand skills for the purpose of assisting with general maintenance tasks
