Job Description
The main objective for Norwegian Red Cross and its international operations is to strengthen access to health and protection of people affected by conflicts and crises, including climate disasters. To help us achieve this goal we are looking for a Senior Advisor in Public Health - supporting globally with a mission base in Nairobi, Kenya.
Duties and responsibilities
The purpose of this position is to provide technical health expertise within Norwegian Red Cross-supported health operations, improving access to health, strengthening health technical components within global public health activities in preparedness and response and strengthening the Norwegian Red Cross's position in health.
Strategic responsibilities
- Provide technical public health expertise within specific Norwegian Red Cross-supported operations, ensuring alignment with the Operational Framework 2024-2026.
- Support to global emergency preparedness and response efforts
- Support to country operations as needed
