Job Description

Principal Responsibilities

  • Help grow customers within our existing retail, MFI, export, and corporate channels.
  • Develop new distribution channels and institutional partnerships, specifically by designing our strategy for large-scale distribution and financing.
  • Work with Sales Reps on areas of professional development.
  • Plan and conduct marketing events with our team of 20 activators
  • Consult with VP Sales and Marketing on sales strategy for export.
  • Help develop internal systems for new Direct Sales team. Help develop strategy for new Direct Sales team.

Qualifications

Desired Experience

  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • High level of comfort working with clients
  • Enthusiasm, creativity, and a desire to ‘sell for good’
  • Consumer product sales experience
  • Preference will be given to MBA students/recent graduates with sales & marketing experience and candidates with East African experience

Location and Duration:

12-month fellowship in Ruiru, Kenya to begin in early 2017. Fellows receive a stipend of $1,100 per month and housing in a company house. BURN will provide one round trip flight at the beginning and end of the fellowship.
