Regional Safety Associate

DG ECHO is recruiting one National Staff to be based in Nairobi (Kenya) as a Regional Safety Associate, for its Nairobi Regional Office. 1. Duties & Responsibilities: The jobholder carries out activities related to various security aspects of DG ECHO staff, offices and operations, in support to the RSC (Regional Security Coordinator) for East Africa, and the RSC for Central & Southern Africa. The jobholder contributes to increasing the security of DG ECHO staff deployed in the different countries of these regions and s/he will be responsible for the following tasks, among others: Helps to assess the security situation at the duty station and ensures adequate gathering and verification of security information needed for a proper assessment of the situation by the RSCs. Communicates information on security to the Head of Regional Office (HoRO) and Heads of Offices (HoOs) in the two regions and provides security advice to DG ECHO staff in the absence of the RSC as required.
