RADIO -SORNOGRAPHER

Job Description

To provide safe, accurate and high-quality diagnostic imaging services, including radiography and ultrasound examinations, in accordance with professional standards, hospital policies and applicable regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and specialized X-ray and ultrasound examinations as requested by authorized clinicians.
• Obtain accurate patient history and relevant clinical information before examinations.
• Prepare patients appropriately and explain procedures clearly to ensure cooperation and comfort.
• Position patients correctly and select appropriate imaging techniques and protocols.
• Produce high-quality diagnostic images for interpretation by qualified medical practitioners/radiologists.
• Operate, maintain and perform basic troubleshooting of radiology and ultrasound equipment.
• Ensure proper identification, labeling, storage and confidentiality of patient images and records.
• Observe radiation protection and safety measures for patients, staff and visitors.
• Maintain strict infection prevention and control practices during all procedures.
• Monitor equipment performance and report faults promptly to the appropriate authority.
• Maintain accurate imaging registers, examination records and departmental statistics.
• Ensure proper use and accountability of imaging supplies and consumables.
• Participate in quality assurance and quality improvement activities within the imaging department.
• Work collaboratively with doctors, nurses, laboratory staff and other healthcare professionals.
• Provide appropriate emergency assistance and promptly escalate any concerning findings or patient deterioration to the responsible clinician.
• Maintain professional ethics, patient confidentiality and respectful communication at all times.
• Participate in continuing professional development and training.
• Perform any other duties related to imaging services as assigned by management.
