To perform specialised activities related to the development of new and existing platforms, applications and tools. To ensure requirements are clear and well understood, to ascertain that the approach and code can be integrated, to support applications.
The Senior Operations Applications Specialist will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining refinery information systems that underpin operational efficiency, safety, and compliance.
Key Accountabilities
- Develop and maintain refinery operations applications aligned with business and compliance requirements.
- Ensure seamless integration of applications with Refinery Information Systems and enterprise platforms.
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications and deliver robust solutions.
- Maintain and enhance Oracle Fusion Middleware Forms and Reports.
- Support and optimize Oracle databases for refinery applications.
- Build and maintain applications using C#.NET, Entity Framework, and MVC architecture.
- Provide ongoing support, troubleshooting, and enhancements for existing applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure applications meet operational needs.
- Ensure adherence to IT governance, security, and industry standards.
Formal Education
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related field.
Work Experience
- Minimum 6 years’ experience in application development, preferably in industrial or energy sectors.
- Proven track record in maintaining and developing Oracle Fusion Middleware Forms and Reports.
- Experience with refinery information systems or similar industrial platforms.

- Mandatory Technical Skills:
- Oracle Fusion Middleware Forms and Reports maintenance.
- Oracle & SQL databases (development, optimization, administration).
- C#.NET, Entity Framework, and MVC architecture.
- Additional Competencies:
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work under pressure in a high-availability environment.
- Excellent communication skills to bridge technical and business needs.
- Understanding of refinery operations and compliance requirements.
