If you&#39;re a solutions-driven, passionate change-maker, come join us in positively impacting the lives of millions of people world-wide for a better future.</p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p style="text-align:inherit"></p><p><b>Job Purpose/Objective</b></p><p>To oversee the general administration and management of the hospital&#39;s daily operations, including planning, human resource management, financial oversight, and ensuring high-quality patient care.</p><p></p><p><b>Key Responsibilities</b></p><ul><li>Coordinate and monitor the provision of health services</li><li>Ensure good governance in the hospital</li><li>Oversee the planning and development of new specialized units and maintenance of facilities</li><li>Use of Information, Communication and Technology to enhance service delivery</li><li>Participate in development of Annual Work Plan and implementation</li><li>Provide guidance in the development of departmental and individual staff work plans based on the hospital strategic plan</li><li>Promote adherence to national health management quality assurance policy and guidelines</li><li>Lead the team in procurement of various hospital medical and surgical items in liaison with the Pharmacist and the Hospital Matron</li><li>Ensure proper functioning of special clinics in the hospital on weekly basis i.e. SOPC, GOPC, HRC, MOPC and POPC.</li><li>Coordinate in liaison with the Health Manager consultancy visits for the health program in the camp</li><li>Ensure effective human resource management and development in the hospital</li><li>Performance management of direct reports</li><li>Ensure effective supervision of FIF revenue collection in the hospital</li><li>Ensure safety and security within the hospital.</li><li><p><span>Carry out all elective surgical and gynecological cases twice a week in theatre. </span></p></li><li><p><span>Attend to all medical legal issues, fill P3 forms and attend court sessions. </span></p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Key Result Areas</b></p><ul><li>Provision of all key services in the hospital</li><li>Leadership and governance</li><li>Infrastructure development and maintenance</li><li>Strategic planning and annual work plans</li><li>Quality assurance</li><li>Human resource management and development</li><li>Performance management</li><li>Financial management and sustainability</li><li>Occupational safety and Security</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Qualifications and Experience</b></p><ul><li> MB ChB ,MD, BDS OR equivalent</li><li>Post Graduate diploma or Certificate in Management or a relevant Postgraduate Degree such as, MPH, MSc (Health policy and management), MA (hospital management) MSc (Health services planning and management), MBA</li><li>Evidence of leadership and continuing professional development and training in Health management</li><li>At least 3 years of working experience in a busy hospital</li><li>Evidence of leadership and continuing professional development and training in Health management for 2 years</li><li>Experience of driving and implementing organizational change, in particular using new and innovative practices and technologies to improve service delivery.</li><li>Registered and certified by the Medical Practitioners and Dentists Board.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Required Experience </b></p><ul><li>At least 3 years of working experience in a busy hospital</li><li>Evidence of leadership and continuing professional development and training in Health management for 2 years</li><li>Experience of driving and implementing organizational change, in particular using new and innovative practices and technologies to improve service delivery.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Required Licenses and certificate</b></p><p>Registered and certified by the Medical Practitioners and Dentists Board.</p><p></p><p><b>Essential Skills and competencies </b></p><ul><li>Strategic planning and implementation</li><li>Ability to work, lead and manage a multidisciplinary team</li><li>Ability to create partnership</li><li>Integrity</li></ul><p></p><p><b>Authority and decision- making</b></p><ul><li>Oversees service delivery, acquisition and efficient utilization of resources</li><li>Represents hospital in various forums</li><li>Acts as the Secretary to the Hospital Management Board</li><li>Authorizes hospital annual work plans and targets plan</li></ul><p> </p><p><b>Professional Standards: </b>All International Rescue Committee workers must adhere to the core values and principles outlined in <a target="_blank" href="https://www.rescue.org/page/our-code-conduct"><span style="color:#0875e1">IRC Way - Standards for Professional Conduct</span></a>.
