Qualification Requirements
Grade 12 Studying towards a National Diploma: Food Technology final year Tertiary institution logbook stipulating the relevant exposure and experience needed
Experience Requirements
- Basic understanding of laboratory practices
- Laboratory safety & handling of chemicals
- Good understanding of OHS
- Proactive communication skills
- Strong numerical ability
- Strong teamwork ability
- Understanding housekeeping and ensuring proactive implementation thereof
- Taking accountability for tasks
- Learning aptitude
Skills and Competencies
- Prepare chemicals for analysis
- Testing of product samples
- Reporting of all results timeously
- General housekeeping and participating in all lab processes and activities
- Equipment calibration and verification
- Shift hygiene, plant inspection and housekeeping
- Reporting of operational non- conformities
- Equipment verification
- Product sample collection and submission to the lab
- Weight verification
- Shift start up and end of shift QC consolidation.
- Product and packing QC verification batch codes, labelling, etc
