Formulates and implements sales and distribution best practice in line with the sales vision and strategy as part of the OM Bank strategy and OMBS. Ensures the continued enablement and development of sales support talent.
Assist the Exec Head of Retail Sales with the formulation execution of the distribution strategy for existing and future sales channel. Accountable for the reporting, incentives, expenses and processes that relate Sales and Distribution to manage optimal cost of selling.
Responsibilities
Functional Strategy Formation and Implementation
Lead the development and implementation of strategy for OM Bank Retail sales alongside the Executive Head, anticipating complex issues, challenges, and opportunities and ensuring integration with wider corporate strategy. Responsible for leading the Distribution Support strategy and implementation to optimise the cost to sell in OM Bank.
Business Planning
Develop and gain agreement to annual business plans for Retail Sales and Distribution Support a function or substantial business area, ensuring alignment with strategy; quantify business outcomes, i.e., revenues or other key performance indicators (KPIs); detail expense and headcount budgets; and develop business cases for key projects, ensuring cross-functional integration.
Distribution Economics
Drive the optimisation of the cost to sell through sales value chain analysis, cost management, reporting, compliance and OM Bank growth ambitions across different product lines, current and future retail channels.
Sales operational support
Responsible for coordinating the operational support to the different retail channels across business-as-usual activities, and projects that impact the front end. Be the voice of the customer to the business operational teams on behalf of the sales teams.
Leadership and Direction
Communicate the function's strategy and its relationship to the organization's mission, vision, and values; clarify the actions needed to implement this strategy within the area of responsibility; motivate people to commit to the mission, vision, and values and do extraordinary things to achieve the organization's business goals.
Training development and delivery
Develop a training function to help employees within a complex, diverse organization achieve their full performance potential. Deliver training programs to senior executives.
Product Training
Take responsibility for developing and implementing the organization's product education program.
Information and Business Advice
Provide authoritative specialist advice to the leadership team of a small or nationally based organization or subsidiary to guide the implementation of policy and the design and implementation of projects and change initiatives.
Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Data
Ensure that a global internal function, and/or a large, cross-functional, global customer account team, and/or a large national organization maintains high-quality customer information; monitor and review information quality to ensure that it is fit for purpose. Provide user input to the development or improvement of the CRM system to ensure that it meets immediate and longer-term business needs.
Budgeting
Take responsibility for setting and managing area budgets so they align with organizational strategy.
Stakeholder Engagement
Identify and manage stakeholders up to and including top management level, finding out their needs, issues, and concerns and reacting to them by leading and coordinating the development of stakeholder engagement plans to support the communication of business information and decisions.
Performance Management
Manage and report on the performance of the function/business area; set appropriate performance objectives for direct reports and hold individuals accountable for achieving them; take appropriate corrective action where necessary to ensure the achievement of annual business objectives.
Organizational Capability Building
Identify the capabilities needed to meet the current and emerging business needs of a significant business area. Evaluate current capabilities, identify gaps, and prioritize development activities. Motivate others to develop their capabilities and fulfil their personal potential. Build capabilities elsewhere in the organization through mentoring and other informal methods.
Minimum Requirements:
- Master’s degree
- 9 years General experience
- 8 years Management experience
- Sales operational support background
- Strong aptitude for analytics, processes and financial modelling
