Full-time Ghana, GH
Posted 9 hours, 20 minutes ago 22 views 0 applications

Job Description

The Dagaaba of Ghana have no scriptures in their language and are not able to read the Bible translation of Northern Dagara done in neighbouring Burkina Faso. The Scriptures in the Dagaare language will help the church to grow and enable the Christians to be grounded firmly in scriptures which will keep them from falling back into the traditional religion from which many came out.

This translation project was started in 2009, after a sociolinguistic survey of the Dagaaba in 2008, and is expected to be completed by 2021. In 2011, the “Gospel of Mark” was completed, published as “Maako Gane” and launched to the great delight of the churches of God in Dagaare-speaking communities across Ghana.

The New Testament was completed in 2012 and published and launched in 2014. The projected cost for 2016 is approximately $63,530
