Key Responsibilities

As a competent Construction Site Storekeeper you will be responsible for ensuring the maintenance of stocks, operation of accounting systems, maintenance of inventory records, preparation of material orders, and receiving, reviewing, and storage of supplies disbursed on job orders and material transfers.

Specific Duties:

  • Receiving of goods, tools and materials at site
  • Responsible for inventory of the available goods, tools & materials at site
  • Working closely with store keeper to order and receive items and equipment
  • Verifying all goods arrive as per the agreed purchase, delivery note and quantities agreed.
  • Assisting the Store Keeper in finding out discrepancies in the delivery stocks
  • Conducting inventory audits to determine inventory and needs
  • Day to day checking on the storage facilities to ensure and maintain hygiene
  • Any other duties assigned by your supervisor

Person Specifications

1. Academic Qualifications

  • A Diploma in Store keeping or procurement

2. Skills Experience and Attributes

  • More than 3 years of relevant experience as a store keeper.
  • Ability to pay attention to detail
  • Well-developed verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent management skills
  • Financial acumen
  • Strong multitasking skills
  • Good time management skills
  • Must have experience in the construction industry
