The successful candidate will play a critical role in strengthening the company’s financial performance and supporting strategic decision-making. Position summary This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious accounting professional who thrives in a dynamic environment and is passionate about driving financial efficiency, revenue assurance, and sustainable business growth. The Accountant will be responsible for financial planning, reporting, revenue management, cost control, treasury management, compliance, and strengthening internal financial controls across the organization. Key responsibilities The Accountant will be responsible for the following duties: Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports. Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes in collaboration with management. Monitor company cash flow and ensure effective management of receivables and payables. Ensure accurate and timely invoicing, collections, and payment processing. Develop and implement cost-control measures to enhance profitability and operational efficiency. Monitor revenue streams and identify opportunities to prevent income leakages and financial losses. Maintain accurate accounting records and perform regular bank and account reconciliations. Review purchase requests, invoices, and reimbursement claims to ensure compliance with company policies. Establish and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets and resources. Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and statutory requirements. Coordinate external audits and support the preparation of annual financial statements. Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic business decisions. Qualifications and experience Applicants should meet the following requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field. CPA (T) or equivalent professional qualification is highly desirable. Minimum of three (3) years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within logistics, transportation, supply chain, or related sectors. Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, cash flow management, internal controls, and cost management. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel. Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities. Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.
