Supply Chain Manager

The Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for managing the full lifecycle of fresh produce operations, ensuring efficiency, quality control, and cost-effectiveness across sourcing, storage, ripening, and distribution processes. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage end-to-end supply chain operations for fresh produce Oversee strategic sourcing from farmers and suppliers, ensuring consistency in quality and supply Manage post-harvest handling, including sorting, grading, and storage Supervise ripening processes (especially for products such as bananas and avocados) to meet market demand Optimize warehouse operations and cold chain management to minimize spoilage and losses Coordinate logistics and distribution, ensuring timely delivery to customers and retail points Develop and implement inventory management systems and demand forecasting strategies Monitor supply chain performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives Ensure compliance with food safety, quality, and regulatory standards Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, transporters, and internal teams Qualifications & Requirements Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Procurement, or a related field Minimum 5–7 years’ experience in supply chain management, preferably in fresh produce, FMCG, or agribusiness Proven experience managing the full cycle of perishable goods (sourcing, storage, ripening, and distribution) Strong understanding of cold chain logistics and inventory control systems Experience in supplier management and negotiation Demonstrated leadership and team management skills High level of analytical thinking and problem-solving ability Strong organizational and operational planning skills Proficiency in ERP systems and supply chain tools is an added advantage Key Competencies Strategic thinking with strong execution ability Attention to detail and quality control Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-demand environment Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills High integrity and accountability Skills Multi-Skilled
