Senior Supply Chain Manager - Nairobi

Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Supply Chain Manager. The Senior Supply Chain Manager is responsible for leading and optimizing the end-to-end supply chain operations of the organization. This role ensures efficient procurement, production planning, logistics, inventory control, and supplier relationships while driving cost efficiency, service excellence, and sustainable growth. The role requires strong leadership, strategic thinking, and operational execution to support business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute supply chain strategies aligned with company goals.
• Oversee procurement, sourcing, inventory management, warehousing, and distribution.
• Build strong relationships with suppliers, vendors, and logistics partners.
• Negotiate contracts to achieve best cost, quality, and delivery performance.
• Monitor supply chain KPIs and continuously improve performance, efficiency, and reliability.
• Lead demand planning, forecasting, and capacity planning processes.
• Manage risk in the supply chain, including disruptions, compliance, and cost fluctuations.
• Implement technology, automation, and systems to enhance visibility and control.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred).
• 7+ years of experience in supply chain, logistics, or operations management.
• Proven experience leading large, cross-functional supply chain teams.
• Strong knowledge of procurement, logistics, inventory, forecasting, and ERP systems.
• Excellent negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with global sourcing and distribution is an advantage.
