About Organisation
Fountain Palace Hotel & Suites is a newly launched upscale hospitality destination in Kampala.
Job Summary
We are looking for a proactive and well-connected Sales & Marketing Officer to drive bookings, grow visibility, and bring consistent business into the hotel. This is a hands-on role for someone who is confident engaging clients, building relationships, and actively promoting the brand across Kampala.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Generate revenue through: Room bookings (short and long stay), Corporate meetings and conferences, Social events (birthdays, small weddings, private gatherings)
- Identify and secure corporate clients (NGOs, Companies, Government offices, embassies)
- Build relationships with event planners, travel agents, and repeat clients
- Actively promote the hotel through:
- Client visits and outreach
- Networking and referrals
- Support and manage social media presence (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok)
- Assist in executing marketing campaigns, promotions, and content
- Track leads, follow up consistently, and meet monthly sales targets
- Monitor competitor activity and provide market feedback
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
- 2-4 years’ experience in sales, marketing, or hospitality
- Strong interpersonal skills and confidence engaging clients
- Existing networks in Kampala are a strong advantage
- Self-driven, reliable, and results-oriented
- Comfortable with social media and basic content creation
- Professional appearance and flexible schedule
Key Performance Indicators (KPls)
- Monthly revenue targets achieved
- Number of bookings and events secured
- New corporate clients acquired
- Repeat business and client retention
- Social media engagement and inquiries generated
Compensation
Base salary + commission on sales
Performance-based incentives
Airtime and transport facilitation
