Quality Control Officer

A Mombasa based Tea export company is looking for a Quality Control Officer with at least 6 years’ experience. The successful candidate will spearhead maintaining of our current certification/accreditations - food safety system certification (FSSC 22000 Version 6.0) and managing transition to upgrades / improvements on the current standard and Health and Safety standards. A practical and analytical approach, creativity, determination, and an ability to think laterally are keys to becoming successful in this position. Oversee and maintain compliance with FSSC 22000 Version 6.0 food safety standards. Lead internal audits and coordinate external certification audits. Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the food safety management system. Identify gaps, risks, and non-conformities, and implement corrective actions. Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety standards. Prepare and maintain quality documentation, reports, and records. Train and guide staff on quality control procedures and best practices. Education A degree or diploma in food science and technology or related course.
