The Project Coordinator will support the implementation of the Cross-border Evidence and Policy Sovereignty (CACEPS) project under the African Union African Think Tank Platform (ATTP). This initiative is designed to strengthen African think tanks and policy institutions in producing relevant evidence, shaping policy dialogue, and fostering cross-border collaboration. The role requires close engagement with key stakeholders, including the African Union Commission and international development partners such as the World Bank. The successful candidate will play a central role in ensuring that project objectives are delivered efficiently and in alignment with both organizational and donor expectations.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and coordination of project activities to ensure alignment with the CACEPS objectives
  • Oversee the execution of research activities and ensure high-quality outputs are delivered on time
  • Coordinate project management functions including planning, implementation, monitoring, and reporting
  • Facilitate policy engagement activities aimed at influencing regional and continental policy frameworks
  • Provide operational and administrative support to ensure smooth project implementation
  • Strengthen collaboration among consortium partners, including think tanks and policy institutions
  • Ensure compliance with donor requirements, financial regulations, and APHRC standards
  • Prepare technical and progress reports for stakeholders, including donors and partners
  • Support stakeholder engagement, including high-level meetings with regional and global institutions
  • Coordinate logistics for project events, workshops, and regional engagements
  • Monitor project timelines and deliverables to ensure efficiency and accountability
  • Facilitate knowledge sharing and cross-boundary learning among participating institutions

The role involves frequent travel across the region to engage with partners and stakeholders.
