PROFESSOR OF MANAGEMENT

QUALIFICATIONS

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

• PhD and Master’s degree in Business Management or Business Administration or a related field from accredited institutions.
• At least three (3) years of demonstrated quality and progressive teaching experience as an Associate Professor or equivalent; and research experience.
• A minimum of six (6) high quality publications in refereed journals since last promotion to the position of Associate Professor.
• Successful supervision of at least 5 postgraduate students, including 2 PhD candidates.
• Attracted research or development funds as an Associate Professor or equivalent.
• Registered with the relevant professional body.
• Demonstrated evidence of service to the university and community.
• Active participation in national and international scholarly activities.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Deliver and support teaching in management at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
• Lead and promote high-quality, ethical research and a strong research culture.
• Develop research proposals, secure funding, and publish in reputable journals.
• Build and maintain partnerships with industry, government, and other stakeholders.
• Contribute to quality assurance, monitoring, and continuous improvement processes.
• Engage in professional development and staff training.
• Develop, review, and implement academic curricula.
• Supervise postgraduate students and participate in faculty peer review.
• Maintain accurate student records and track academic progress.
• Participate in departmental and institutional meetings.
• Develop learning materials and support student learning and development.
