Junior Data Analyst

Job Description

Our client in the Agricultural sector is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Data Analyst to support the organisation’s data and reporting functions.

This role is ideal for a candidate with approximately one year of experience who is looking to grow their career in data analysis and business intelligence.

The successful candidate will support the development of a centralized data reporting platform, assist in improving data collection processes, and help translate data into insights that support better decision-making across the organisation. You will work closely with different teams to understand their data needs while building your technical and analytical skills in a practical, hands-on environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the development and maintenance of a centralized platform for company data reports.
• Assist in analysing existing data to identify trends, patterns, and operational insights.
• Help design and update dashboards and reports using data visualization tools.
• Work with different departments to understand their activities and data requirements.
• Support users in identifying additional data needs and assist in gathering or extracting relevant data.
• Assist in improving data collection processes, including working with tools such as AppSheet.
• Help maintain clean and organised datasets by reducing duplication and improving data accuracy.
• Perform basic statistical analysis to support reporting and decision-making.
• Provide support to staff in understanding reports and dashboards.
• Gain practical exposure to business operations to improve data interpretation.

Key Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Information Technology, or a related field. (Masters is an added avantage)
• Approximately 1 year of experience in a data-related role.
• Knowledge of python programming, databases and SQL.
• Exposure to data visualization tools such as Looker Studio, Grafana, or Excel dashboards.
• Basic understanding of statistical concepts and data analysis techniques.
• Experience in technical support, networks, and hardware will be an added advantage
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
