Job Description
The Kenya Medical Research Institute (KEMRI) is a state corporation established on April 22, 1979, through the Science and Technology Act of 1979. The main objective of KEMRI is to conduct research in human health conditions with the aim of improving the health and quality of life of Kenyans. The Institute is also mandated to provide research training and product development. KEMRI has a strong collaboration with the University of Nairobi and other international research institutions. The Institute has a strong focus on infectious diseases, including HIV/AIDS, tuberculosis, malaria, and influenza. KEMRI also conducts research on non-communicable diseases, such as cancer, cardiovascular diseases, and diabetes.
