The International Rescue Committee (IRC) is a global humanitarian aid, relief, and development nongovernmental organization (NGO). Founded in 1933 at the request of Albert Einstein, the IRC provides emergency assistance and works to restore safety, dignity and hope to millions of people around the world. We have been present in Kenya since 1992 and have a long history of working with the government, local organizations and communities to provide humanitarian assistance and support to refugees and host communities.
