Job Description
QUALIFICATIONS
- An earned PhD and Master’s degree in software engineering or a related field from accredited institutions.
- At least three (3) years of demonstrated quality and progressive teaching experience as an Associate Professor or Senior Lecturer; and research experience.
- A minimum of six (6) high quality publications in refereed journals since last promotion to the position of Senior Lecturer.
- Successful supervision of at least 5 postgraduate students, including 2 PhD candidates.
- Registered with the relevant professional body.
- Active participation in national and international scholarly activities.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Deliver and facilitate teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
- Conduct research, publish findings, and secure research funding through proposals.
- Build partnerships with industry, government, alumni, and other stakeholders.
- Support policy development and institutional planning.
- Monitor and evaluate teaching, research, and resource management for quality improvement.
- Engage in continuous professional and staff development.
- Develop, review, and implement academic curricula.
- Supervise postgraduate students.
- Maintain accurate student records, assessments, and academic progress tracking.
