The Assistant Director, Accounts will be responsible for overseeing accounting operations within the Authority and ensuring that financial records are accurate, timely, and compliant with established regulations and standards.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversee the preparation and maintenance of financial records, reports, and statements in line with applicable accounting standards
  • Coordinate the preparation of periodic financial reports including monthly, quarterly, and annual accounts
  • Ensure compliance with public financial management regulations and internal financial policies
  • Supervise accounting staff and provide guidance on financial procedures and reporting requirements
  • Review and approve financial transactions, reconciliations, and adjustments
  • Coordinate internal and external audit processes and ensure timely implementation of audit recommendations
  • Monitor budget utilization and provide advisory support on financial planning and control
  • Strengthen internal controls to safeguard organizational assets and ensure financial integrity
