We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Assistant with a strong foundation in finance and accounting, and additional knowledge in stock management. The role combines traditional accounts support with responsibility for stock reconciliation, reporting, and collaboration with stock teams. The successful candidate will support the finance department in maintaining accurate books of accounts while ensuring proper tracking of inventory.
Key Responsibilities
Finance & Accounting
- Assist in maintaining accurate financial records, reconciliations, and ledgers.
- Prepare reports, expense schedules, and payment vouchers.
- Process and record transactions, ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
- Support audits by providing accurate financial and stock-related documentation.
- Prepare financial reports, summaries, and dashboards for review by the Chief Accountant.
Data Analysis & Reporting
- Analyze large and complex datasets from accounting and stock systems.
- Prepare accurate, clear, and actionable reports for finance and management.
- Clean, organize, and format raw financial and stock data for reporting.
- Develop dashboards and visualizations to provide insights on sales, stock, and expenses.
Stock & Inventory Management
- Reconcile physical stock with system records and highlight variances.
- Assist in monitoring the cost of goods sold (COGS) and inventory costing.
- Support periodic stock audits, variance analysis, and reporting.
- Collaborate with store managers and stock teams to ensure accurate reporting of stock movements.
- Help implement stock control procedures to minimize shrinkage and waste.

- Familiarity with inventory/accounting software (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks, or similar systems).
Education & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, or related field.
- CPA II (minimum), CPA III/Finalist is an added advantage.
- At least 2–3 years’ experience in an accounting role, with exposure to Stock/inventory management.
- Knowledge of stock reconciliation, costing, and reporting.
- Proficiency in Excel and other reporting tools.
- Flexibility to work in shifts.
